Introduction

1) The Directorate of Finance shall be a whole-time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Chancellor among the persons recommended by the Government on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed he shall- .

a) Manager the property, the finances and the investments of the university.

b) Prepare the annual and revised budget estimates of the university and present them to the Finance Committee, the Syndicate and the senate.

c) ensure that the funds of the University are expended on the purpose for which they are provided.

d) perform Such other duties as be prescribed.

2) The Director of Finance shall be assisted by the Chief Accountant, Bursar and Resident Auditor.
